Even among our long-term and regular customers and club members, not many know the entire history of 321 Boat. We have an exciting announcement to make that ties into the past and future of our company, so if you’re not up-to-date on the story, we’ll happily fill you in!
Hayley’s Jet Ski and Boat Rental started as a family business in Vero Beach in 2005. The owner, Matt, had recently retired at the ripe old age of 35. According to his daughter Hayley, he needed to find something to do. She wrote a business plan (at just 15 years old) and the rest was history…. the business started with just a pair of jet skis, but it soon expanded service all the way from Cocoa Beach to the Fort Pierce Inlet. The family decided to start offering boat rentals as well and to start a boat club in Melbourne because they saw a void in the market. Hayley’s bought Mariner Boat Rentals and Club Nautica, both of which had been in the Melbourne area for more than 20 years. The same phone number has been used for the boat rentals and club since 1985. As Hayley’s purchased these other companies, they grew and improved their knowledge on boat rentals and the Indian River Lagoon. Now called 321 Boat Rental and Club, the business has grown to be the largest rental fleet in Florida. We’re also the closest company to Orlando offering both jet ski and boat rentals.
Although 321 is still run with the same family values and tight-knit relationships, we’re growing as well. After much deliberation, we’ve made the decision to move to the next marina over to facilitate this growth. Our new location will be just as accessible to our wonderful clients as before, but it will also allow us to make some positive changes in the way things are run. We’ve been exceptionally busy lately as families take advantage of the opportunity to social distance while having fun together on the water. Our boat club has also been consistently selling out of memberships. With a little more space, we’ll be able to streamline our check-in process. If you’ve ever checked in at the old 321 office, you know that space to social distance was in short supply! Our new location will make the rental process more safe and comfortable for both staff and clients.
We’re excited to put our best foot forward in the beautiful Telemar Bay Marina. We’re also thrilled to be able to move such a short distance away because we’ve really fallen in love with the stunning Indian River Lagoon and its surrounding waters, and we know our clients and club members have as well.
